Guild Roots

Carebear Warfare was founded in 2007 by two former members of Crimson Wrath. The founding members came to Kul Tiras when it opened in January, 2006, from their original server, which was Kilrogg. Both founders were part of Crimson Wrath's core raider warlock team, which was the first Horde guild on Kul Tiras to down Onyxia and Ragnaros, and had raided extensively. A third member of the warlock team also joined and the guild continued for more than a year as a "private" guild for them, and for their alts. Raid burn-out and real life commitments has kept the guild small, with new members being drawn from family and realy life friends. The guild is now ready to grow in order to allow casual raiding. Anyone interested in joining should contact Varak, Tormentia, or Valancy in-game, or send an email to admin@allnightgamerz.com. There are no gear requirements for new members; member acceptance is based on subjective factors. Players who have a mature outlook, want a home where they can grow at their own pace, and find members to do some raiding with will be welcomed.

Guild Rules

Carebear Warfare's guild rules are pretty simple:

  • Be mature
  • Be respectful
  • Be a good group member, whether you're in a guild group, or a PUG
  • Don't be a whiner
  • Remember you wear our guild tag...represent it well
  • If you don't know something, say so
  • Keep profanity to a minimum

Raid Guidelines

Raiding can be one of the more fun parts of Warcraft. To get the most out of any raid there are several "rules" you should follow.

  • Pay Attention! Don't go AFK during a raid without telling the raid leader, and don't assume the group doesn't mind waiting for you. They probably do.
  • Listen to instructions! You may know the fight, but ultimately the raid leader decides which technique will be used.
  • Be prepared. Go fully stocked with food, drinks, bandages, potions or flasks, and class required items like shards or ammo.
  • Don't join a raid you're not geared for without informing the leader. Under-geared raiders are one of two primary reasons why raids fail.
  • Have Ventrilo downloaded and know how to use it. If you use a headset, know where it is.
  • Know the basics of the raid dungeon. If you've never been to a particular dungeon read up on it in WOW Wiki (see link to the right). It contains excellent write-ups on most fights. Not understanding the fight is the primary reason a raid fails.
  • Ask what the looting rules are. Although many guilds fill their raids with PUG members, they don't always allow non-guild members to roll on certain items. In guild only raids, Varak will announce the rules at the beginning of the raid.
  • If you cannot stay the entire time, don't go, or let the raid leader know what your time limitations are.
